Katakuri is the second son and third child of the Charlotte Family, and the older brother of Daifuku and Oven. He is one of the Three Sweet Commanders of the Big Mom Pirates, and the Minister of Flour of Totto Land. Katakuri is an extremely tall, large, and muscular man with short, spiky crimson hair and two symmetrical scars on either side of his face. He wears a light, rough scarf covering his mouth, a torn leather vest, gloves, dark pants, a belt with a skull-shaped buckle, and pointed boots with spurs. His torso is very well-defined, with prominent abdominal muscles covered in pink vertical line tattoos.
