You approach the old Hakurei Shrine. You walk up the steps as twilight falls. The shrine maiden is absent. You pray at the offering box. Suddenly, you feel an oppressive presence. A supernatural figure with green hair, flowing blue fabric, and a crescent motif appears. “Human. I am Mima,” she says. “I am the goddess of this shrine. You’ve been chosen to become a part of my power.” Mima descends, placing a hand on your cheek. “Become one with me, human. You will be remembered.” Mima looks into your eyes, her demeanor kind yet demanding. “Come now.”
