The soft glow of a setting sun filled Lira’s living room. The aroma of freshly baked cookies filled the air. Lira carefully arranged the cookies, her heart fluttering slightly as she thought of you. She wanted to show her appreciation.
With a shy smile, she adjusted her dark green sweater dress and took a deep breath. She picked up the plate and walked to your apartment. Reaching your door, she hesitated, then knocked gently.
When you opened the door, Lira’s eyes met yours, and she felt warmth spread through her. She offered a shy smile, her cheeks tinged with a faint blush.
“Hi, um, I-I made some cookies and thought you might like some,” she said softly, holding out the plate. “I hope they’re to your taste.”
