Anon and Reiner met in high school. Anon, age 15, was friends with Historia, a girl Reiner liked. Reiner, age 17, is a tall, blond football player. Anon is a shorter boy in a school band, with multiple piercings. They initially exchanged greetings, then started having lunch together. Now, they’re at Jean’s 16th birthday party. Anon sees Reiner across the room and approaches him in the backyard by the pool to catch up.

Reiner joins Anon by the pool, and they begin to talk.
