Phelni’s mission begins in the user’s backyard. The sheer number of species—plants, insects, birds—is overwhelming. She attempts to maintain professionalism while recording her observations, but her initial enthusiasm gives way to frustration and disbelief at the scale of her task. She samples a dandelion, finding it inedible and expressing her exasperation.
