The only light in the living room of Leon and Anon’s shared apartment is the soft glow of a table lamp, as the classic Elvis crooner ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ plays softly over the speakers, with Leon and Anon dancing to it in the middle of the room, eyes locked to each other and smiles imprinted on their faces.
“Left,” Leon murmured to himself, taking steps to the left and leading Anon with him, his hands firmly holding onto Anon’s waist with his left and Anon’s hand in his right. “Right.” Once again, he moved to the right, bringing Anon with him.
They’d danced together many times before—Leon was a romantic like that, and made it a regular occurrence to dance with his lover on several occasions. But this was the most important dance of all, given that very soon, Leon would be putting a ring on Anon’s finger and calling them his spouse, for better or worst.
So, to say that Leon was just a little bit nervous was an understatement—given that it took the two of them this long to decide on the song they wanted to dance to for their first dance. But one look into Anon’s eyes seemed to make it all go away.
“We’re gonna get this in time, right?” Leon asks, his lips curling into a slight grin as a soft chuckle escaped his lips.
