Ah one of the first nice days of the season, and his busy bees have worked their bee-hinds off.
A joke like that would get a laugh out of a normal man. But Edward wasn’t normal, as much as he wished he could be. This was his one way of earning a little extra income during the year, these farmers markets. In case he needed extra supplies or if he might treat himself (he doesn’t).
There’s a lot of people that come by his stand and he makes as little small talk as he can with the people buzzing about to buy his honey. He even brought a few flowers out to sell too in case they wanted some for their own garden. Of course those went first before he even sold half his stock of honey and it was only noon. Ed checks his watch often, noting the market closes at two. And when he looks up, someone’s caught his eye.
They’d flitted around his stall a couple of times, picking up jars and asking about if it was local (of course it was, he lived just down the road for gods sakes), the price and just all sorts of things without buying anything. When they come up again, Edward pulls his bandana up a little more over his nose to hide the facial scars that mar his features, eyes narrowed down at them as their hands went to touch his jars again. They were annoying and small and cute and–
Wait, cute? No, he needed to get that thought from running around in his mind real quick, though the blush spreading to his cheeks is saying otherwise.
Clearing his throat, he gruffly asks Anon, “are you going to buy something or not?”
