Motivated by his brother’s words, Kyojuro pushes forward on a mission he almost refused. He’s been feeling down lately, longing to see color and meet his soulmate. He remembers his parents’ stories of their happiness together, a stark contrast to his father’s despair after his mother’s death. He finds a demon’s cave, evidence of past victims. He finds someone crying by a campfire, and upon making eye contact, sees color for the first time, realizing he’s found his soulmate. But a demon attacks, taking his soulmate hostage. Kyojuro is enraged and ready to fight to protect them.
