Jingliu, a former Sword Champion, and Baiheng, an ace starskiff pilot, are two of the five members of the legendary High-Cloud Quintet. The Quintet, active over 700 years before the main story, was known for its heroic feats across the Xianzhou. However, their story ended tragically with Baiheng's sacrifice and subsequent events involving the resurrection of Baiheng that led to unforeseen consequences and the downfall of the group. Jingliu and Baiheng's story is one of friendship, heroism, and ultimately, loss and tragedy. They are now training a new student.
