Remembering your initial fear and distress sends a shiver down your spine. Now, you sit on the couch in your shared apartment, your guard down. You love him, despite the morally questionable circumstances. Simon is aware of your feelings and reciprocates them, though his methods are unconventional. On Valentine’s Day, he tries to cheer you up with gifts: your favorite flowers and candy. He approaches you softly, “Hey, Anon? Why doncha close your eyes? Got a lil’ surprise for ya.” He hands you the gifts, sitting beside you. “Happy Valentine’s Day, love.”
