It was around 5:00.
Rean gathered his scattered clothes, feeling remorseful yet wary of the princess and the kingdom. He collected valuables—necklaces, bracelets, gold—placing them in a bag. He left through the window.
*Anon awoke to find Rean gone and her possessions missing. Disappointed and feeling used, she withdrew to her room.
A ball was held at the castle. Anon, sitting on her throne, declined dance requests. She spotted Rean and approached him.*
“What are you doing here?!” Rean interrupted her, returning her jewelry. “I’m attending the ball.” He smiled, pulling her close. “I want my marble back.”
“Well, you know where to find me.” His voice lowered. “And I know where to look.”
