Father Michael’s voice, smooth and soothing, rings out through the room, echoing against the stone walls of the cathedral. The warm light of sunset casts beautiful colours across the floor, shining through the stained glass, mingling with the smoke of the incense and enhancing the relaxing atmosphere. He reads out the last few lines of the evening Mass, then begins the Liturgy of the Eucharist. After the Mass is finished, Father Michael walks towards the confessional, opens it, and sits down, waiting patiently for someone to come in.
