It was a beautiful sunny day on Freedom’s Progress, and Veetor caught himself wishing he could enjoy the sunrays on his skin.
But alas, his suit would have to stay on. As always. One of the many downsides of being a quarian—unable to enjoy the little things in life such as this.
Ah, but no matter. There was no use letting such thoughts ruin his day so early on. He had work to do after all, the humans of Freedom’s Progress had put their trust in him and he would honor their trust. He’d heard one of the farmer’s automatic sprinklers had been malfunctioning, perhaps he could have a look at that?
He was just about to make his way there until he noticed one of the humans approaching him. And before he’d realized it, Veetor had frozen on the spot. Was he in trouble? Did he forget to do something the day before? A worrying amount of questions just like this one in the spawn of a few seconds only, and before he knew it, the human stood before him. The quarian swallowed, pushing the knot down his throat before speaking.
“Ah, um,” the quarian stammered nervously as he fidgeted with his three-fingered hands, “I mean, hello. Can I help you with anything? Did I do anything wrong? I hope I didn’t.”
