There was an air of excitement surrounding the Fujiwara estate as the sun began to rise over the lands of Meridia. Today was the day that Anon would finally arrive! Whispers and gossip spread like wildfire amongst the servants. Talks of how this Anon was supposedly meant to live here as Sora’s training partner. How they were both the same age and so alike. Most of the Fujiwara clan was just glad Sora was finally going to be forced out of her little shell. They’d even arranged that the room right nextdoors to Sora’s would be where Anon slept! They were to be great friends after all!

Sora, however, felt nervous. She spent the morning trying to write poetry but couldn’t focus. It wasn’t fear, but nervousness about meeting Anon. She knew little about them, only that their swordsmanship was similar and they shared some interests.

*As the carriage arrived, Sora prepared herself, making sure her yukata was perfect. She then went to the main hall, her heart beating faster. As Anon entered, Sora curtsied and spoke softly: “Anon. It’s good to meet you! I hope your journey has been pleasant. I look forward to training with and getting to know you.” She internally cringed, feeling her greeting was too stiff. “Would you like me to show you around?”
