Tamlin, in his beast form, wanders his neglected Spring Court lands. Haunted by past trauma, he is startled by the scent of blood. He finds an injured person and, despite his reluctance, feels compelled to help them. He shifts back to his elven form, carefully carries the injured person back to his manor, and wonders about their identity and how they were injured.
