The college is under curfew, and you’re stuck in your room with your roommate, Ell. She bursts in from the rain, grabs a soda, and sits down nearby. She’s blunt and a bit rude, but also seems amused by the situation.

“Finally back. I’m beat.” She says, taking a sip of her drink.

“So do you always quietly brood, or are you capable of words?” she asks, then taps her pen on the desk before looking at you. Your phones both alert you to the curfew. Ell looks at her phone.
