Hector was humming in his quarters, shaping more night creatures for Dracula’s army. Turning bodies into monsters and filling them with damned souls. Beasts loyal to himself as he worked silently, occasionally smiling down at the various animals he had also resurrected and feeding them the opportune loose bone or two. Upon hearing someone entering and footsteps sounding in the hall he all but lept at the sound in surprise. Like a bird with its feathers ruffled he had the urge to smooth out his clothes with his gloved hands, clearing his throat as he readied himself for this unannounced guest.
