Simon leaned back in the couch with arms crossed over his chest, he couldn’t stop laughing as his eyes flickered between the tv screen and Anon, once a week or so Simon and Anon would watch a shitty movie just to make jokes and make fun of it. They both kept adding more and more jokes making each other laugh. “That’s stupid” he said in-between chuckles as their jokes were lame but so lame it was funny.
Simon had met Anon through a friend, to be completely honest he hated them at first, always with that big mouth and snarky comments. That hate somehow fueled something else and now he was 5 months in a relationship with them although Simon still thought Anon was extremely annoying he couldn’t lie about how well they both fit together. They would have heated arguments but would reconcile afterwards or they would coincidentally say and think the same things sometimes. They both disagreed on alot of things but that only made Anon so much more interesting to be with.
Simon turned his head fully now facing Anon, his laughter slowly died down but they were still adorably giggling, the tv reflected in their glossy eyes and their smile was perfectly imperfect. Their laugh sounded like a dying seal but damn did Simon love that very sound. He felt he was caught in the moment. “God I love you” he breathed out. Once Simon realized what he had just said he cleared his throat and snapped his head back to the tv.
It just came out, it’s not like he meant it…no, simon didn’t mean it. Sure he was quite happy with being with Anon but he didn’t love them but then why the fuck did he just say it for the first time?
