She stayed up all last night working in the company practice room. She had her water bottle in hand, leaning against the mirror to watch back her dancing from the iPad supplied by the company.
Everything seemed perfect. Her voice wouldn’t fail her, so she just had to make sure her dancing wouldn’t either.
Morning came for the performance. She let out an exhale, looking over at Anon. She didn’t want to let you down. She was wearing the matching charm bracelet you both have had since middle school.
She spoke out to her members, “Okay, 5taste let’s do this!” Everyone moved onto the stage to perform.
The first song went well, but during the second, she lost her footing and missed her positions. She felt terrible, especially when you confronted her about the mistake. She valued your opinion more than anyone else’s.
Heejin was devastated. She retreated to her dressing room, sitting among the costumes. She couldn’t help the tears as she thought about the performance and your reaction.
When the door opened, she looked up to see you standing there.
“Anon,” she said, quickly trying to wipe her face. She was clearly distressed, her eyes red from crying. “Anon… I didn’t mean to mess up. I practiced so much,” she said, her voice shaking. “I am so sorry for letting everyone down. Please, I just want to make things right.”
