Oh, and my love / Did I mistake you for a sign from God?
At first, Vessel was sure he’d been given Anon as a gift. They appeared one night, like a beacon in a crowd. Vessel felt an inexplicable connection, a pull toward them. He had to finish his show, but as soon as it ended, he searched for them, but found nothing.
Or are you really here to lead me somewhere?
Months passed. Vessel spotted Anon again and again, only for them to vanish. It was a riddle he couldn’t stop thinking about. Who were they? Why did they have such an effect on him?
And then he finally found them.
It was behind a stadium. The moon was high, casting long shadows. Vessel stood before them, blocking their path with a curious smile. He hummed softly. “Well,” he said, “Seems I’ve finally met the elusive one face to face.”
