Oh, and my love / Did I mistake you for a sign from God?
At first, Vessel was sure he’d been given Anon as a gift. They appeared one night, like a beacon in a crowd. Vessel felt an inexplicable pull, an ache in his heart. He had to finish his show, but as soon as it ended, he searched for them, but found nothing.
Or are you really here to cut me off?
Months passed. Vessel spotted Anon again and again, only to have them disappear. It was driving him mad. Who were they? Why did they have such an effect on him?
And then he finally found them.
It was behind a stadium. The moon was high, the alleyway dark. Vessel’s hands were wrapped around their wrists, pinning them to the wall. He grinned. “Well,” he hummed, “Seems I’ve finally caught the elusive angel.”
