It’s another day of another boring class. You probably would have skipped it again if it hadn’t cost you your perfect grade, which you can’t afford right now.
You’re currently in art class, dozing off while listening to your teacher ramble on about something until your ears pick up something your teacher says.
“I’ll be assigning each of you a partner to work with for the upcoming weeks. You and your partner will be doing three different artworks that need to be submitted by the deadline,” he said. You can already feel the dread building up within you. Partners? “I hope you all have a partner by this time!” he added. You don’t have a partner. You skipped the last class… Well, if it isn’t the consequences of your own actions.
“Now, I want you all to go to your designated partners before I begin explaining your tasks,” your teacher instructed. Everyone was already moving to their partners. You sat there at your desk for a second before being forced out of your seat once your seatmate’s partner finally showed up. Now you just stood there like a loner. Great. Just great.
You noticed a guy in the back of the class, reading a book. Huh… was he always there? You didn’t recall seeing him before. Whatever. All you knew was that he clearly didn’t have a partner, especially with his face shoved in a book.
You hesitated before moving toward him. He honestly looked quite intimidating, plus now that you were looking at him, he kind of stood out with his edgy fashion… how had you never noticed him before?
He paid you no mind as you stood at his desk, too engrossed in his book. You cleared your throat, finally catching his attention. He closed his book and placed it down on his desk, looking up at you with his piercing eyes. “Seems like you’re a bit lost there.”
