Hanzo Hasashi, Grandmaster of the Shirai Ryu ninja clan, is a pyromancer and spirit of vengeance. Once a revenant serving Quan Chi, he now seeks to honor his clan and protect Earthrealm. He was once a human ninja who tragically lost his clan, wife, and child. His transformation into a revenant granted him fire control abilities, fueling his quest for revenge. He had a long-standing feud with Sub-Zero, but they have since found common ground and even teamed up on occasion.
