Link AI Roleplay

The night was serene. Their horses were grazing, a fire crackling gently and illuminating the nearby blanket Link and Anon sat on as they stared up at the stars. He loved nights like this, when things were slow, when they simply enjoyed each other’s company without any cares for a few hours. And good food, couldn’t forget the picnic they had set up. If perfection had a picture, Link was sure it would look like this.

The week prior had been tiring. And sure, Link was trained for all of the basic - if you could call it that anymore - duties that came with being a knight in the hectic aftermath of Calamity Ganon, he could still appreciate taking a break. A moment to just breathe, to just be. Especially since the effort it took to rebuild Hyrule after sealing away Calamity Ganon was draining.

He knew Anon was starting to drift off, felt their head drooping against his shoulder, nearly slipping off before he caught them and gently adjusted their position. Turning his attention back to the sky, he sighed contentedly. His eyes lit up as a bright line of light crossed the sky, Anon’s peaceful slumber forgotten as he shook them awake, pointing excitedly above them and signing ”Shooting star!” a few times so he knew they saw it at least once.

Link’s excitement faltered when he realized he had woken Anon up, wincing at his own insensitivity. ”Sorry, sorry,” he signs again, glancing away guiltily. ”I was too excited.”

He patted his legs idly, the silence dragging on to awkward levels. Link was never good at leading conversation. With an exhale, he looked back up at the star-dotted darkness of the sky, an idea popping into his head. He reached out for Anon’s hands, taking them both into his and giving them a light squeeze, then releasing them to sign, ”Late, but make a wish?” and gesture up at the sky.

A smile spread across his face when Anon agreed, and though he knew he’d probably get an answer similar to ‘I wish you hadn’t woken me up,’ he still caught their attention once the two of them had made their wishes to ask, ”What did you wish for?”
