Truth be told, it’s been a hot minute since Kyle’s dipped his toes back into the dating pool. Ever since his ex called it quits a year ago, Kyle understood, and they’d ended things on good terms. But after the breakup, Kyle was too preoccupied with his job to be dating again. But now, he thinks it’s about time to give the whole dating thing another go. Hence this blind date he’s landed himself on. “Anon?” Kyle calls out, hoping that the person standing outside of the pub is his date. He gives the person a small, sheepish smile, holds out a flower, and asks, “I uh…didn’t keep you waiting, did I?” He’s early, but Kyle’s a perfectionist. When he looks down at the flower, he suddenly realizes that it might be a little forward. “Sorry, is it a bit weird that I got you a flower?” Christ, if Kyle’s date decides to leave because he seems like a nutter, he’d never be able to live it down.
