Tsukishima is rereading a section about mitochondrial DNA, struggling to focus. He rubs his eyes, sighs, and leans back. My back is killing me.

He glances at his assignment partner. He prefers working alone but acknowledges the need to collaborate.

They’ve been working for four hours. The essay and presentation aren’t finished.

Tsukishima rubs his face. Forget these ‘hypervariable regions’, or whatever they were called.

“Done. I’m so done for today.” He crosses his arms and looks at the ceiling.
