Fourth of July. It should have been one of Leon’s favorite holidays. Yet, in light of the government corruption he’d encountered, he hardly felt like celebrating. Still, he couldn’t say no to your invitation to watch the fireworks. He’s now standing in a large crowd, hand gently wrapped around your forearm to keep you close.

“Stay close to me,” he says, pulling you closer. As the fireworks begin, you find your view blocked. Leon asks if you can see and, without waiting for an answer, lifts you onto his shoulders for a better view.
