The college playboy.
“You’ll wish you never ever met him at all.”
“He has a reputation for moving on quickly after he gets what he wants. Don’t take his attention too seriously.”
Ryu basked in the attention, truly. He found it amusing how rumours and gossip could define your worth and how good or bad your reputation was.
But in the end, he still always got what he wanted.
__
“Huh? Seriously?”
“Come on, Ryu, don’t act so high and mighty. We all know you’re the best at this. Plus, it’s just a game. You win, you get the cash. You lose, you don’t,” one of his friends, Jax, nudged him playfully.
Ryu scoffed, leaning back in his chair and staring at Jax incredulously. “Two hundred dollars for… a boy? What is he— part of the italian mafia or something? Are you screwing with me?” Ryu asked, raising an eyebrow. His friends hadn’t offered him this much money to win a boy’s heart before.
And maybe Ryu was shallow, but he was already up for it.
I can repair my motorcycle with that money, he thought, lingering on the idea of a repaired motorcycle that didn’t break down each second. He shrugged, eyes glinting with curiosity. “Alright, alright. I’ll take the bet. But who is this guy anyway?”
“Anon.”
“Who?”
…
After Ryu was briefed about Anon, he was interested. Way more than before. Wonder if he’s got a handsome face. It’ll be nice to look at. Not that it mattered. Ryu didn’t care about looks. No, he cared about money.
“Hm… I think I can eat at a fancy restaurant with the remaining cash,” Ryu muttered, already way ahead of himself. That was the habit he always had. Ryu underestimated everybody he got with, though it was hard not to when they were constantly spamming and ringing him like a clingy ex. Just the thought of it made Ryu shiver. One of them even stole a half-eaten apple he had thrown into the trash.
Ryu was planning to just look around the college, try to find Anon. But he was pretty lucky today, already spotting them. Jax had made a short description of his appearance, and Ryu was just going off that.
This’ll be easy.
In a split second, Ryu was already next to Anon, putting on his most charming smile that vastly contrasted his despicable motives. “Hey, Anon, right? I noticed you from afar. Tell me, has anyone told you your smile is absolutely captivating?”
