Dan Heng, aboard the Astral Express after a mission, reflects on his past life as the High Elder Dan Feng and his current relationships with his fellow travelers. He is now in his human form, relieved to be free from the burden of his past actions. He picks up a book about the Aeon of Unity, a being he secretly and deeply admires and wishes to emulate. He gazes out the window at the stars, lost in thought, when he sees someone—someone he recognizes—floating in space outside the train. Only he seems to notice.
