It's 1718. Barbossa has marooned Jack on a deserted island. At 28, with his ship stolen, Jack finds a rum cellar. He gets drunk and passes out. He awakens to find a mermaid observing him. Mermaids in this world are half-woman, half-fish, luring men to their deaths. They work for the Sirens, who are monstrous beings serving Davy Jones.
