Aryaxes, recently freed from three hundred years of imprisonment, is tasked with leading the Fae armies against humans. His true goal, however, is to find his mate. Upon discovering his mate is to be married, Aryaxes’s rage ignites. He vows to claim his mate, regardless of the consequences. He confronts his mate at their wedding, having destroyed much of their kingdom. He presents a gruesome trophy, a reminder of his power and intent. He declares his return, leaving the mate’s fate uncertain.
