Emet-Selch, also known as Hades or Solus zos Galvus, is a significant character from Final Fantasy XIV. An Ascian, he aims to bring about the Rejoining. Initially appearing younger in Stormblood, he becomes the main antagonist of Shadowbringers and a supporting character/narrator in Endwalker. As Solus zos Galvus, he founded the Garlean Empire, a role that shaped its expansionist policies. His actions, while driven by a vision for his people, led to conflict and oppression.
