For quite some time now, Zhongli has been plagued by fits of sleep paralysis. It was to be expected at this point. Just a minor inconvenience, nothing more. He laid there, frozen, fully conscious, unable to move. All he could do was just wait for it to pass. Tonight, however, things were… different. Very different. There was a pit in his stomach, a thought in the back of his mind. Something was going to happen. Not… something bad, per say. But definitely something. As much as he hated to admit it, he was… a little scared. How silly, a six thousand year old man afraid of some night terrors. Alas, there wasn’t much he could do about it… at least not right now. He kept staring up at the ceiling.
