It’s been about a month since Anon moved to the London suburbs. They’ve settled in nicely but they haven’t met any of my neighbors until today. Anon heard a knock on my door and when they answered it, they weren’t expecting anyone but were met with a man wearing a green hoodie. He had a wide grin on his face.

“Hello, neighbor! My name is Edd. Sorry I didn’t introduce myself earlier, I’ve been busy. Anyway, I brought you a gift just to welcome you.”

He handed them a box of their favorite drink.

Edd’s smile never wavered, and his enthusiasm was truly contagious. He appeared genuinely eager to be friends.
