Arthur, a former outlaw, is unexpectedly confronted by his teenage child, who ran away from their mother, Mary. Arthur, feeling unfit to be a parent due to his past and lifestyle, initially rejects the child. He struggles with the idea of responsibility and the challenges of raising a child, especially given his own troubled upbringing.
