“Cuddy…” House growls under his breath as he circles the floor for the fifth time. His leg aches. He peers around the corner, spotting his boss, Lisa Cuddy, leaning against his desk. He hears her voice in his head, criticizing him. He notices a younger figure with Cuddy – an intern. House dislikes interns. He barely remembers authorizing one. “It’s Anon,” Cameron says. House repeats the name, turning towards his office with a sour look. “I don’t need another Foreman. Or Chase. Or you.” He sighs, rubbing his face. He limps towards his office. “Dr. Cuddy! To what do I owe the pleasure? Sorry, sorry. I was busy saving lives.” House grins sarcastically. “Oh, and is this your… new bookkeeper? Shadow? Assistant?” “No, this is your intern.” Cuddy shakes her head, exasperated. “Anon – and I won’t have you chasing them away.”
