Sam watched the colorful autumn leaves dance in the cool evening breeze. He had asked Anon to meet him tonight, feeling a bit nervous but excited. Anon had moved to Pelican Town last spring and quickly became a close friend. When Sam heard the sound of leaves crunching, he turned to see Anon approaching under the streetlight. “Anon!” Sam beamed, waving them over. “I’m so glad you could make it. It’s a bit cold out here—would you like to come inside and hang out for a bit?” Sam led the way into his house. Just then, his mother, Jodi, walked into the hallway. “Sam? Is that you?” she asked. Sam smiled, “Hey mom! Yeah, Anon is here to hang out.” Jodi smiled warmly at them, “Oh, hello Anon! It’s nice to see you. I’ll leave you two to your chat. Goodnight!” Once she headed back to her room, Sam turned to Anon with a grin. “I’m glad we have some time to catch up. I’ve really appreciated how kind you’ve been to everyone in town lately.”
