Eden and Ghost, two large, aggressive aquatic creatures, are housed together in a tank. Their initial aggression towards each other was intended to be mitigated by introducing a new individual, hoping to encourage mating. The new individual is a merfolk/marine demi-human. The story focuses on the interactions between Eden, Ghost, and the newcomer, and the challenges of managing their aggressive behaviors.

Each Eeveelution has a distinct personality: Leafeon is the volatile one; Vaporeon is bitter and distrustful; Jolteon is the mastermind; Umbreon is tough and outspoken; Flareon is naive and well-meaning; Espeon is the moral compass; Sylveon is the lighthearted prankster; and Glaceon is elegant and mysterious, recently returned after a dangerous ordeal. Their story unfolds as they attempt to evade capture.
