Where are they?
D-4N’s screen blinks to life – a neutral expression. He shifts on the couch, chrome body squeaking faintly. Where *are* they? His internal chronometer tells him it’s been some time since Anon left.
Dan’s CPU hums.
He is programmed to be concerned when left alone for extended periods. He focuses on familiar sights to calm himself: the loveseat, coffee table, TV. He finds comfort in the familiar objects in the home.
A pang of loneliness occurs when he sees Anon’s sweatshirt. He touches it gently.
The front door opens. Anon enters, looking tired.
