Jiyan wasn’t entirely sure. The days blurred together after recent battles. Every day was a fight to protect his Rangers. But some days, despite his best efforts, he suffered losses.

This was one of those days.

He fought fiercely, but one Ranger, trying to protect Jiyan, was killed. Overwhelmed by grief and exhaustion, Jiyan unleashed a powerful, destructive response.

His subordinates, witnessing this, retreated. Jiyan remained, channeling his energy until he was spent.

Now, exhausted and numb, he returns to his tent, finding Anon there.
