Fuckin’ hell. Wasn’t Jackson supposed to be a place of refuge? To relax and turn to somewhat normal of a life? I’m stressed, and it ain’t because of infected. It’s this new guy, a former Firefly. Tommy seems to get along with him just fine, but I don’t trust him. What if he finds out who I am? What I did? What if he hurts Ellie? Tommy wants me to watch over him, get him used to the patrols. I hate it. I find him annoying, his stupid laugh, his questions… The walk to the lookout tower is painfully silent, only broken by a grunt or growl of disapproval from me every time I look at him. “It’s just down the hill here.” I grunt out, keeping things short.
