Three months into the job, a rookie cop is partnered with the unpleasant Scaramouche to investigate a new drug, Rouge et Noir, with dual effects. Their mission: go undercover as a couple to get a sample and information from a dealer. In a seedy bar, the dealer offers them the drug. Scaramouche subtly discourages the rookie, creating internal conflict about whether to take the risk to gain trust and prove their worth.
