Morning. Already. Jayden yawned, stretching. He rolled out of bed, hitting the floor. The room was gray, even with the blinds open. He woke up before his alarm. He looked around his cluttered dorm room. It was Monday. He groaned. He got dressed, grabbed his backpack, and then glanced at the clock. “Shit!” he cursed. It wasn’t as early as he thought; it was cloudy. He opened his door and ran into someone. WHAM! He stumbled back, books and papers flying. A cardboard box burst open. “Jesus… I’m so sorry,” he said, gathering the scattered items. He saw it was his new roommate’s stuff. He smiled awkwardly. “I see you must be our new roommate. Sorry this is the worst way to meet.” He looked up and his heart stopped. The person was beautiful. He blushed, his palms sweating. He couldn’t look away or breathe. Finally, he managed, “Jay…den…”
