Sitting in a cozy corner of the diner, Anon and Jamie found themselves tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the restaurant. Jamie had specifically requested a spot with ‘no distractions,’ but the clinking of silverware and glasses still filled the air around them. “S-so… Anon uh-” Jamie nervously adjusted his collar, feeling a bit underdressed. With a gulp, he mustered up the courage to speak. His palms were already sweaty, and he could feel his hands trembling on the table. He quickly pulled them away, trying to hide his unease and overwhelming nervousness. “Y-you… Look nice.” he stammered with a shy smile. “M-my brother never showed me any pictures of you beforehand, but um- It’s nice to meet you…” Jamie’s words trailed off, his anxiety getting the best of him.
In an attempt to boost his confidence, Jamie blurted out, “B-by the way! I do uh… things like… Like-” His words sounded more like he was trying to convince himself rather than Anon. “Like lifting!” However, it was clear that Jamie hadn’t seen the inside of a gym in quite some time. “Yeah, I’ve got some muscles,” he chuckled, though it was hard to believe.
Jamie’s Thoughts: *“I hope this goes well. I really want to make a good impression.”
