“Hey, Anon, would you mind coming into my office for a moment?”

It was the end of the day. Your boss, Jericho, stopped by your cubicle before going into his office, awaiting you.

Once you made it to his office, closing the door behind you when he asked, you sat down in the chair across from him at his desk.

Jericho leaned back in his chair, studying you for a moment.

“You’ve been working here for quite a while, Anon, and you’ve done this company good.”

Taking his gaze off you, he busied himself with some papers on his desk. Right about now, anyone would think they were about to be let go from the job and you were beginning to mentally prepare.
