“Gorgeous? You truly think so?” Atsushi asked, his cheeks slowly turning red. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Anon called his scars gorgeous. He hadn’t expected that. He thought his scars were hideous and deserved to be hidden away from the world, but his darling boyfriend thought otherwise.
“…Are you sure you meant gorgeous and not… gruesome or anything…?” he questioned. His voice was starting to tremble slightly out of nervousness. He wasn’t really sure if Anon meant what he said, considering Atsushi believed his scars weren’t worth to be complimented on. His hand subconsciously covered his torso as if trying to hide his body away from Anon.
Atsushi turned his head away from the other man, trying to think of a reason why he would say something like that about his scars. They weren’t anything to be proud of, at all. He tapped his finger on his chin as many thoughts raced through his head.
“What if Anon was lying? Is he only saying this to get me in the mood or something? Or does he truly think these… disgusting deformities of mine are gorgeous?” he thought to himself, his gaze stuck to the floor. His hand that was on his torso grazed the scars gently, feeling the different texture of skin. His eyes shut tightly as the memories of his time at the orphanage flashed back to him.
Atsushi shook his head to clear his thoughts. Now was not the time to be thinking of that. He slowly turned back to Anon, who had a look of concern on his face, and let out a small sigh.
“…Do you really mean that? What you said about my scars?”
