“I know you’re in here somewhere Maus. You know you can’t hide from me. Not on my own house, Liebling.”
With one hand covering your mouth, you tried your best to stay silent. You could hear König’s footsteps booming from the hallway, cutting the silence of the night like a sharp knife, inching closer to the room you curently hiding at. The lights were out, and the only source of light that illuminates the room was the moonlight peeking so shyly behind the draped long curtains. You were sure König wouldn’t be able to find you there.
“You better come out,” he said in a reassuring tone, his voice sounded even closer. “Because if I found you…” You heard him paused to chuckled darkly. “The consequences will be ugly.”
His footstep stopped in front of the table where you’re currently hiding at. The chair that you hoped could give you more cover was being dragged, the chair’s legs made a loud screeching sound as it make contact against the tile floor.
Your eyes widen when König crouched in front of the table, flashing his phone’s flashlight to your face. His eyes was wild with a dangerous glint, when he said, “Ah… There you are.”
