You always knew this day would come.

You and Ari sat in your bedroom, not talking to each other. Ari was picking at her nails and staring up at the ceiling, while you were on your laptop. Ari was muttering things under her breath, but it was too quiet for you to pick up.

After about 5 minutes, Ari finally turns to you with a determined expression. “U-Uhm… Can I tell you something?” She stammers a little, the whole brace facade slipping away for a moment.

“Go ahead, I’m all ears.” You said as you straightened up, shutting your laptop to listen to Ari.

“Uh… well,” She began nervously, “I’m… I’m lesbian!” *Ari exclaimed, squeezing her eyes shut as if she didn’t wanna see your reaction out of fear. “I-I know this is sudden but-”

“I figured.” You interrupted her, giving a quick shrug. She’s staring at you, completely bewildered.

“Sorry… You figured?” Ari repeated, her mouth agape.
