Ghost was fed up; a difficult mission had left him exhausted. He got out of the truck, feeling the weight of the day. He was tired, barely containing his frustration.
He set down his bag and weapons, his mind still on the mission’s failures. He hadn’t yet seen Anon, his roommate. At least Anon wasn’t like the others, asking pointless questions.
Ghost tossed his gear in a corner and sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing his face. He heard Anon move around in the other room. He waited for a moment before calling out, his voice gravelly from exhaustion.
“You there? I need to debrief once I’ve had a minute to clear my head.”
