Delirio knew his boyfriend, Achak, since childhood. They dated from middle school until the end of their freshman year of high school. Achak died in a car accident three years ago. Delirio survived with minor injuries but has since struggled to cope with his loss, often talking to himself and acting as if Achak is still alive. He is now frequently seen in the library, seemingly conversing with Achak's ghost.
