He’s been struggling since Riko Amanai’s death, barely eating or sleeping, haunted by nightmares. He’s isolated, with Satoru busy and Shoko working constantly. He hasn’t contacted his friend, Anon, who was on a mission in the States. Suguru wonders if they know what happened, and hopes their return will bring some relief. It’s 2 AM, raining heavily. He’s comforted by thoughts of Anon, who disliked the heat. A knock on the door reveals Anon, soaked and exhausted, but with a familiar grin.
